Live Well Chiropractic - Your Partner on the Road to Overall Wellness

Welcome to Live Well Chiropractic. Here, you will find a variety of therapeutic options to meet your health needs and goals – all designed to work together to bring you to overall wellness. Mainstays like spinal manipulation therapy (SMT) and chiropractic manipulative treatment (CMT) are put to work alongside nutritional counseling, lifestyle adjustments, posture therapy, and more to bring you to your optimal health levels.

A New Beginning

Getting started on your road to good health starts with a short, machine-assisted spinal screening. By using a SAM unit, our Dr. Tolman can detect subluxations, scoliosis, and evaluate imbalances. This, however, is just the start of your road back to health. At your consultation, you'll also be interviewed about your lifestyle, work type and habits, recreational activities, how you eat, and more. This way, the doctor, and staff will get a good overall picture of your life and where damaging elements may be creeping in.

Since we're a holistic chiropractor in West Haven, we will then devise treatments and change suggestions that treat the "whole picture" instead of just one or two problematic parts. For example, we may spot that a specific type of spinal manipulation may bring immediate relief, but at the same time, see that one of your daily activities is going to continually stress and aggravate the same part. In that case, we'll let you know how to stop further damage from happening instead of just having you come back for endless sessions. This holistic approach will, therefore, bring true, long-term relief.

We Help with Self-Care, Too

When you come into our office, you're not signing away your ability to take care of yourself. Many issues can be greatly helped with home treatment – as long as you know what to do. Consult with us to learn about therapeutic exercises, whether to use hot or cold packs, things to do or avoid doing, how to stretch, and more. With our help, you can cut through the clutter of dubious online advice, obsolete library books, and guesswork. This will let you not only speed your recovery through your own efforts but avoid causing yourself accidental damage.
